About JTA Yacht Delivery & Consulting
Our History
Founded in 2019, JTA Yacht Delivery & Consulting has grown into the LEADER in Yacht Delivery and Transportation into and out of the Great Lakes and beyond. We concentrate in "on water" transport for Yachts of all sizes as well as coordinate with shipping Yachts to and from the Great Lakes and Worldwide via cargo ships. JTA Specializes in operating all types of propulsion from Surface Drives, Waterjets, Pods and traditional Propellers. Our experience lies throughout the Great Lakes and Canal System, Eastern Seaboard, Bahamas / Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, Austrailia and Central / South America.
Meet the Founder / Owner.
Jordan Tilton obtained his Captains License in April 2003 while working on a high speed ferry in Lake Erie and attending The Ohio State University. Upon graduation, immediately moved to Charleston, SC and began working onboard Yachts and continues working alongside some of the largest Yacht builders in the world. He's held a variety of application engineering positions with engine and propulsion OEM's and is well versed in the mechanics and inner workings of Yachts and a profound knowledge of most builders. He has been able to operate yachts in Europe, Middle East, Austrailia, Central /South America and all over the United States. Today, JTA Yacht Delivery works directly with manufacturers, brokers, insurance companies and private families and he is also a licensed broker with Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales.
General Manager Drew Smercina
JTA Yacht Delivery has a complement of Captains on staff, as well as our General Manager Drew Smercina. Drew joined the JTA Team in August 2020 and has steadily built himself into being able to manage day to day operations / logistics and can operate a variety of yachts of all sizes and specializes in Waterjets and Surface Drives. In addition, Drew manages schedules for the on staff Captains and Crew and assists with training new staff.

JTA Yacht Delivery routinely attends Training Sessions to stay up to date on current technologies.
At JTA Yacht Delivery & Consulting we believe in being fully familiar with the machinery systems that are installed into your Yacht. Our average delivery covers over 1,000 nautical miles, and we like to be able to work our way through issues if any arise to keep moving and stay on schedule. We have attended training sessions by MTU, CAT, MAN and Volvo as well as familiar with all the major Navigation Systems and Propulsion Systems installed into today's Yachts.
